A BIT ABOUT ME
I’ve been playing guitar since 2013. I'm currently now back in Essex after studying Professional Musicianship at BIMM Brighton. Music is a passion for me, and it brings me joy to be able to share this passion with my students. From their very first lesson, they will have tailored teaching for their level. Each student has a unique learning style, and it’s my duty to find out what that is and adapt my lessons accordingly, helping the student succeed in their goals as best I possibly can. I know that a lot of people pick up the guitar with aspirations of rock stardom! I know I certainly did! But within a very short period of time it became abundantly clear to me, that this is going to be hard work, and that nothing worthwhile is ever easy. So although everyone loves a good show off on the guitar, a good guitarist that doth not make! I aim to teach students the importance of all aspects of playing, aimed primarily towards live band performances. Followed by the fun stuff! Such as tapping and soloing techniques to really take your playing up a gear, but ONLY when the student is at the level required for it to compliment their skillset.

Live Music Performance is just that, a performance! For many years now, I've been complemented on my ability to make my bands performances exciting and entertaining. Even if the crowd has heard a song hundreds of times before. This is because I understand that people could just listen to music on their phones, but to come to a live show, then that's what they want! A SHOW! So as a part of my tutoring, I will help students increase their confidence on stage, give them ideas and tricks to use to put on a show, to keep the audience engrossed in the performance, no matter how simple the part is that you're playing!

The proof is in the pudding as they say! I've had experience in multiple bands, several of which have gone on to play some rather large gigs. I've plenty of Live Performance experience, both pub gigs, small clubs, and even festivals of varying sizes. All across the UK! As well as studying I'm currently a guitarist for a band and will be starting a new project/band very soon too! So I will empart a lot of my knowledge of the live side of being in a band to any and all of my students!
